Pollution

We live in a polluted world where there is air, water and noise pollution. The decibels which our ears can tolerate is only 80db but the blaring horns, heavy traffic produces more than 80db which affects our eardrum. To tell about the water pollution, the effluents from the industry if not properly directed towards an isolated area, might get into the water table thereby affecting it and causing health hazards. Air-pollution is due to the smoke emanating from the automobiles and from the industries which causes air-borne diseases. Air-pollution could be controlled when the compressed natural gas (CNG) is used as fuel instead of petrol or diesel. Remedial measures to prevent pollution include creating awareness about its drastic effects to the public and enforcing stringent rules against those who do not abide by it.
Fuss over a dog!

A 6-month old Portuguese water dog named Bo seems to make so much news now. Wondering what news could a dog make? You see, Bo is now one of the privileged members of the White house. Bo is a gift promised by Obama to his two daughters. The two of them are really excited to have such a dog with them. The girls are busy planning lots of things for Bo. On the other side, people are posing many questions about the dog’s origin. Whatever happens, as long as Obama’s daughters are happy, he wouldn’t be disturbed about the questions, people pose. Will he?

Carrying a cell phone everywhere is such a nuisance and i hate people who constantly look at their phones to check for messages or calls. I always wished i could be like one of those secret agents who come in movies. Just look at watch and you know who’s calling and can answer the same without even pressing. Well maybe everything comes true nowadays. Cause LG has released new watch phone. Of course you might have heard about this years back. But this time it’s actually going to be in sale in shops. LG is going to be the first proper, bona fide manufacturer of this product. It’s really cool and stylish as well, it supports 3G and has Bluetooth, so you don’t have to keep wrist like a dog to speak. Expect it this year.

Food Colors

Food colors contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the food. There are two different types of food colors- the natural and the artificial. Some of the natural food colors are cochineal or carmine, turmeric, saffron, annatto, chlorophyll etc. and the artificial colors include erthythrozine, ponceau, fast red, indigo, carmine, sunset yellow etc. Saffron is prepared from the saffron flowers, chlorophyll from the green coloring matter, and annatto from the fermented fruits which is available in West Indies and Srilanka and cochineal from the insect which lives on a variety of cactus. Artificial colors are manmade and their preparation is done in the laboratory.
Exercise

Apart from a healthy diet, rest and exercise are two important factors which relax our body. Exercise rejuvenates the whole body and increases the blood flow to the brain which in turn increases the concentration power. Brisk walking for about forty five minutes daily is the best and simplest one of all exercises. When you keep your body fit there won’t be any worries about either obesity or underweight. Exercise improves the immune system and protects our body against various diseases. For people who lead a sedentary life exercise is a must otherwise they might put on weight which would lead to excess weight gain.
Scientists find pleasure nerves

Scientists from the unilever company have found the pleasure nerves which get exaggerated during a touch. They have identified a class of nerves in the human body which send pleasure feeling to the brain when touched. People must be stroked per second four to five centimeters in order to wake up the pleasure nerves and activate the sensation. The scientists also say that the study of neuron science would let us know how a touch can bring relationships among humans. They find how the body under goes pain and also how the sense of touch may change the reaction of the person.
Hostel Fire Dead

The Poland begun three days of mourning for the 21 people who were dead due to the fire in the hostel and more than 20 were injured in this incident. The hostel was a home for homeless families the fire just broke out in the night in the north western town. One of the witness stated that the residents just jumped from the windows holding the babies in their hands. A victim also told that he tried to open the door as he could not breathe and saw the fire in the door as it was essentially made of paper. The fire alarm was not clear and the building did have a wrinkle system but not a smoke detector.

The political power resides with the military leadership in a military dictatorship. Military dictatorships around the world suppress freedom of speech by using brutal force. Idi Amin and Muammar al-Gaddafi in Africa, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein and North Korea’s Kim IISung were military dictators. Pakistan also has had its share of military rulers like Zia-ul Haq and Pervez Musharaf.
